Vintage Indian teak wood and iron folding cafe table, dating from c1940-50. These wonderfully versatile tables have been found in restaurants and cafes across India for nearly 100 years and are now being brought back to the UK to serve as garden coffee, dining and side tables. They retain their character and charm, work beautifully with good folding mechanisms to save space when needed, and retain remnants of their original paint to add to their charm and function. It can be easily folded and stored when not in use. These were called “mej ” in Hindi. There are some historic minor repairs and age related marks and wear and tear as you would expect.
