Our Indian Day Bed has been painstakingly recreated by skilled artisans in Rajasthan, inspired by beds found in the India of old in the wonderful Royal Palaces. It has been hand crafted using reclaimed vintage teak wood to the highest standards, and was called locally a ‘Maharaja Bed’. It includes hand carved teak pillars or ‘thambli’ and can comfortably be used in any room in the house. Also, because we only use the best reclaimed hard teak wood, your Day Bed can be used outside in the summer months in the UK, perhaps under an awning or apple tree, or on a patio, decking or terrace. Imagine it wrapped in fine throws and cushions, and feel like a Maharaja of old by stretching out in real comfort and grandeur on this wonderful Day Bed.
