Description

A very fine quality antique Burma teak wood Library Cabinet from Calcutta. These were widely used in the libraries and senior civil servant homes in major Indian cities during the 19th and early 20th centuries. This is a wonderful original painted 2 door example with 3 strong shelves and two drawers at the base, and dates from between 1900-1920. Whilst in good original condition, this wonderful antique comes with the odd blemish that you would expect of an antique of this age. Dimensions: Length 96 x Width 39 x Height 178cm
