This lovely teak painted window has been salvaged from an old building in Gujarat State and saved for future generations! It is a nineteenth century original! It has lots of the fantastic old green paint as well as all of the old iron fittings, with fabulous patina built up over centuries. It would look great in an old cottage or displayed in a modern house on a feature wall. We have many customers that also like to repurpose our old Indian doors for grand entrances in to walled gardens, patio areas and terraces, and many of them are used for movie props and shop fittings too – recreating a bygone India! This example has beautiful ornate had carvings all over it. These windows are saved from buildings in India which have fallen into a state of disrepair and are no longer repairable. Although this is a heavy piece, we have a trained delivery company to bring it into your home. This is clearly an old piece and there are some historic repairs and age related marks and wear and tear as you would expect. This is also a unique one of piece which was made by hand many years ago and has stunning hand carved detailing, combined with fabulous old paintwork, and a lovely patina which really shows its age and history. Please be sure to check all photos as these form part of the description.
